July 21, 2017, Washington, D.C. — American Womens Alliance President Gayle Trotter today issued the following statement in support of Attorney General Jeff Sessions:
“Americans can be grateful that we now have an Attorney General with impeccable ethical standards and good judgment. This is a welcome change from the recent past. Unlike his predecessors, Jeff Sessions understands the importance of an independent investigative process in respecting the rule of law and avoiding even the appearance of impropriety. For that he should be commended rather than criticized.
“Legal process can often frustrate pragmatic businessmen, especially those who have built highly successful commercial enterprises and who have little patience for the plodding pace of bureaucratic institutions. Many Americans rightly share President Trump’s concern over an investigative machinery that threatens to run out of control and are justifiably concerned over the campaign contributions made to Democrats by the multiple members of the investigative team.
“Jeff Sessions continues to lead the Department of Justice as a highly effective Attorney General who is faithful to the laws he has sworn to uphold and is fighting every day to keep our country safe and to put criminals in jail. The American Womens Alliance applauds our Attorney General and extends to him our strong support.”
